[Men's Track & Field] Corcoran Qualifies For Finals in 3000 Meter Run at NAIA National MeetPublished by
Geneva, Ohio - Saint Xavier University senior Brian Corcoran (Chicago, Ill./Brother Rice) ran a new school record time of 8:36.04 and finished third in his heat Friday afternoon to qualify for the finals of the 3000 meter run at the 2015 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Corcoran is one of 12 runners to qualify for Saturday's 3000 meter run finals scheduled for 2:20 p.m. CDT and will take the third best qualifying time into the event. The top eight finishers in Saturday's finals earn NAIA All-American status. The SXU men's track program has never boasted an All-American in any event in its history.
