[Women's Track & Field] Leary wins 600m at CCAC Championships; SXU Places ThirdPublished by
Bourbonnais, Ill. – Senior Keeley Leary (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley) set a new personal record (PR) and won the 600m with a time of 1:39.57 for the Saint Xavier University women's track & field team at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Indoor Championships last Friday and Saturday in Bourbonnais, Ill. The Cougars finished in third place with 85.5 points, the best finish in team history at the CCAC Indoor Championships, as well as the second highest point total in program history. Leary also became the first runner in program history to win the 600m. She was also one of four SXU athletes to earn All-CCAC this season: sophomore Lana Musa (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) totaled 2,008 points in the Pentathlon and earned second place, junior Delilah Delgado (East Chicago, Ind./Calumet St. Joseph/East Chicago Central) was third in the 600m with a time of 1:42.04 and freshman Amia Harrison (Chicago, Ill./Simeon Career Academy) set a new PR in the Triple Jump with a distance of 10.85m.
